(In)visible Presence Exhibition at Dib Bangkok

The debut exhibition at Dib Bangkok, curated by Ariana Chaivaranon, is a meditation on memory. It features a diverse collection of works by both Asian and non-Asian artists, fostering a dialogue between local and global art. The exhibition is spread across 11 indoor galleries on three levels, as well as outdoor spaces. Notable works include Anselm Kiefer's 'Die verlorene Buchstabe', Marco Fusinato’s site-specific 'Constellations', Subodh Gupta’s 'Incubate', Jannis Kounellis’s untitled work, Rebecca Horn’s iron bed, Jinjoon Lee’s video installation, Louise Bourgeois' folios, gelatin silver prints by Surat Osathanugrah, Navin Rawanchaikul’s photos in medicine bottles, Somboon Hormtientong’s installation, Montien Boonma's 'Lotus Sound piece', 'Arokayasala: Temple of the Mind', and 'Zodiac Houses' models. Outdoor installations include Alicja Kwade’s 'Pars pro Toto', Pinaree Sanpitak’s 'Breast Stupa Topiary', James Turrell’s 'Straight Up' (with dedicated sunrise and sunset programs), and Sho Shibuya’s commissioned print 'MEMORY'. The exhibition emphasizes interactive and participatory works, like Surasi Kusolwong’s installation featuring a suspended Volkswagen Beetle.
