Exploring Thonburi’s Orchard Communities and Historic Temples: A Journey through Khlong Dan–Bang Kuhn Thian Canals

Embark on a full-day journey to explore Thonburi’s historic Khlong Dan–Bang Kuhn Thian canals, known for connecting the Chao Phraya River to western and southern coastal regions since the Ayutthaya period. This unique trip by solar-powered boat will uncover ancient temples, including Wat Kuhn Chan and Wat Ratcha Orasaram, nestled within traditional fruit orchards. Participants will discover the rich history and cultural heritage reflected in the temples' architecture, art, and the vibrant local communities. Led by Assoc Prof Dr Praphat Chuvichean and Dr Navamintr Vitayakul, this experience is limited to 20 participants and includes lunch, offering a rare glimpse into a quietly preserved side of Bangkok.
