About This Event
Dib Bangkok is Thailand's most anticipated contemporary art museum, envisioned by Petch Osathanugrah and completed by Purat 'Chang' Osathanugrah. It houses an impressive collection of over 1,000 works, including pieces by James Turrell, Alicja Kwade, Pinaree Sanpitak, Lee Bul, Subodh Gupta, Surasi Kusolwong, Navin Rawanchaikul, Somboon Hormtientong, Montien Boonma, and Jinjoon Lee. The museum's mission is to collect, conserve, restore, educate, and tell the stories of contemporary art, providing a platform for major international and Thai artists. It features an open-air courtyard, a cafe and bar (open until midnight), and 'The Chapel', a cone-shaped, acoustically-engineered gallery designed for sound-based installations and musical performances. The opening exhibition is titled '(In)visible Presence'.
