About This Event
In Aerial Yoga, yoga poses are performed using a soft, sturdy hammock. The hammock is hung about 1 meter from the ground or adjusted according to the student's height. Practicing with the hammock makes poses that are difficult on a mat easier to perform. Relying on the hammock allows forward bends and backbends to be performed more accurately and reduces many injuries. Common poses in aerial yoga include inversions and hanging from the hammock. If you have never practiced yoga before, you should try mat yoga before attempting this style. This way, when you start, you will have basic knowledge of poses, breathing techniques, and how to adjust yourself during aerial yoga, which makes it easier to learn and ensures safety during practice. A wonderful aspect of aerial yoga is that during the final Savasana pose, you will be enveloped, nestled in the hammock, like creating your own cocoon, gently swaying, and completely relaxing. Aerial yoga is not suitable for pregnant women, individuals with severe carpal tunnel syndrome, and those who frequently experience dizziness.
