About This Event
Aerial Yoga involves performing postures with the support of a soft-material hammock, typically hung about 1m from the ground. While not difficult, it is recommended that beginners practice mat yoga first to gain basic knowledge of postures, breathing, and alignment for a safer and more understandable experience. The hammock facilitates more attainable postures, including easier and less injurious backbends. The relaxing Savasana posture at the end of the session involves being wrapped gently in the hammock like a cocoon. Aerial Yoga is not suitable for pregnant women, individuals with severe wrist pain syndrome, or those prone to dizziness.
